Manuals Manuals are provided by the School as a supplementary means of providing information to the student. Whilst they are no substitute for tuition and individual practice they give an excellent foundation by which you can gain greater insight into the ethos, methods and practices of the School. Importantly, they give an invaluable means by which to gain a common syntax and vocabulary with the proponents of the School. New students are therefore recommended to purchase these manuals and actively use them both inside and outside of class. Students of Tai Chi and Ba Gua are advised to at least initially purchase Manuals 1 and 2. Extracts of these manuals may be viewed: extract Manual 1, extract Manual 2. Xing Yi students are suggested to also purchase Manual 3: extract Manual 3. Instruction Manual 1: The Secrets of Releasing Strength - Power Generation in Nei Jia'. This gives a description of the core tenets of Nei Jia as taught by Rose Li. Subjects include Taoist alchemical breathing and a technical explanation of how force is generated within the system taught at the Rose Li School.
