Mi Zong Chuan (Yue Jia Ba Shou) In the Rose Li School Yue Jia Ba Shou ('Yue Family Eight Hands') or Mi Zong Chuan ('Labyrinthine Boxing') is considered the precursor to Xing Yi and was invented by the originator of Xing Yi. Forms comprise a similar outward framework to both Ba Kua and Xing Yi but are less straight forward than those of Xing Yi. The system is thus more external and allows beginners to grasp the basics of releasing strength that is so fundamental to Xing Yi. Whilst Yue Jia Ba Shou/Mi Zong Chuan is often taught prior to leaning Xing Yi, it is not considered part of the 'pantheon' of Nei Jia (Tai Chi, Ba Gua and Xing Yi). Historically, there has been some confusion between the Mi Zong Chuan system as practiced by the School and the external Northern art of the same name. © Copyright.
